The New and Improved Classroom Management Plan - for grades K - 5 Positive Reinforcement: When the class is following expectations, I give the students a point under a smiley face. I do this all the way up to fifth grade.  If the class earns more smiley points than frown points, they get 3 - 5 minutes of an educational video related to the content at hand or a 3-5 minute game reviewing the day's lesson.  I ensure the class earns the reward at a minimum of 90% of the time.  If I want to emphasis a child doing something exceptionally well, I give them a "Golden ticket" they can take home. Whole grade level at a time ideally with teacher support. We are going to do a review of recess routines and expectations. The routines we are going to cover - lining up at the end of recess. When the whistle blows, this is how you should line up. Model the correct way of walking quickly or jogging to the line and standing facing forward. If I have a ball in my hand, this is what I should do with the ball. Model holding it to your stomach with both hands. If this grade is dismissing while Basketball is playing - make sure to have the location not interrupt games.
